Modes of address in court and tribunals

On 1 December 2022 the Lord Chief Justice and Senior President of Tribunals announced a change in the practice of how certain Judges are addressed in court. From now on, certain Judges should be addressed in court or tribunal hearings as 'Judge'. They include Masters, District Judges, District Judges (Magistrates Courts), Upper Tribunal Judges and First-Tier Tribunal Judges. Read the full article below.
