Organisations demand that domestic abusers be exempted from the prison early release scheme

A group of 14 organisations working to end violence against women and girls have demanded that the Government’s prison early release scheme should not include perpetrators of domestic abuse.


Refuge, Women’s Aid, End Violence Against Women Coalition (EVAW), SafeLives, Advance, Respect, alongside eight other specialist violence against women and girls (VAWG) organisations, are seriously concerned about the End of Custody Supervised Licence Scheme, as the early release of perpetrators put the mental and physical safety of survivors at risk.
