Amendments to the Family Procedure Rules have been placed before parliament, to come into force on 6 April 2023 (save for the removal of the rule relating to the ability to seek consent of the court to marry or enter into a civil partnership at the age of 16 or 17 which will enter into force on 27th February 2023, the date the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 comes into effect).
